Southwind is a Mixture of traditional,
modern bluegrass
and gospel, all acustic, with tight three and four part
harmony.
A favorite in and around the Chattanooga area; we are anxious
to broaden our horizons and territory. We have our own sound system and
will travel.
Joel,
Mickey and Patrick are the sons of Morris "Bull" Robinson who played
for many years with Boxcar Pinion in the band "Tom and Newel and the
Grasscutters". The first incarnation of "Southwind" was formed almost 30
years ago by Morris and Mickey Robinson and Boxcar and Ruthie Pinion. Next Patrick and Joel joined the band. Tommy Koger brought/added his own unique sound to the band after the
passing of Morris and is a perfect fit with the Robinson brothers.
Southwind's traditional style and three-part family harmony make them
the favorite of
Bluegrass fans where ever they play.
